I was introduced to weaving Nantucket Baskets several years ago. Although I knew what a Nantucket basket was, I had no idea of the detail and unique characteristics of the various baskets until I started weaving them myself.   I quickly became passionate about handcrafting these baskets and spent several years weaving them only for myself.   I was reluctant to give away something into which I had invested such time, effort and a part of myself!   Eventually, I did begin giving baskets as gifts to close friends and family members as they celebrated special events in their lives.   It was very apparent that each basket was valued and would be treasured

People's enthusiastic and often emotional reactions when receiving "a Rosemary basket", justified all the time and effort I invested into crafting them. I particularly enjoyed giving baskets that had a personalized ivory piece. A simple monogram, a nameplate, a wedding date, a school logo, a picture of a family home, boat or treasured pets...these types of symbols can make a basket even more memorable.

Each basket is handcrafted using the traditional methods of the Nantucket style; only the highest quality materials are used for bases, staves and weaving.   From the beginning, you will be involved in the process by selecting which of these materials and weaving style will be used for your Rosemary basket. Each basket is hand signed on its base. In addition to custom orders, some baskets are available as in-stock items.
